Khali started his professional wrestling career in 2000 and until 2006 he played in different wrestling events and signed WWE on 2nd January 2006. He became World Heavyweight Champion on 20th July 2007 by eliminating Kane and Batista in 20 men battle royal match.
As a true fighter, he returned to WWE on 23rd July 2017 to assist WWE Champion Jinder Mahal in a Punjabi Prison match. He also returned on 27th April 2018 as entry no. 45 at The Greatest Royal Rumble match.
