The rapid spread of coronavirus is causing many delays to the sporting events across all countries. Different precautions are taken by various cricket boards so to protect the people related to this sport. It includes cricketer sports staff, groundsmen and the lovely crowd.    1. CoronaVirus Effects On IPL

IPL is the most loved T-20 league across the world and according to a survey, IPL contributed 11.5 Billion(US$160 million) in India GDP this shows it’s importance to India. Last year the total viewership of IPL is around 414 million this shows the craze of  Ipl among the people.

This Year BCCI suspends Ipl till 15th April as a precautionary measure against the ongoing Coronavirus. Initially, it was started on the 29th of march.

2.   India Vs South Africa Series Has Been Called Off

After the first ODI, which had been washed off. The ongoing India VS South Africa series has been called off. Initially, it was announced that the remaining 2 matches will be played behind closed doors(means no fans in the stadium). But today BCCI announced that ongoing series will be rescheduled.

3.  Sri Lanka Vs England 2 Match Test Series had been Called Off

`England Cricket Board requests Sri Lankan cricket board for the postponed the series and they ensure that the England Team will again come back and will play the Test Series. But the official date is not announced yet.

They didn’t even complete the practice match as the players had been called off on the 4th day of the practice match.

   4.   Changes in the schedule of the ongoing PSL

The whole PlayOff schedule is changed due to the hazardous disease. Now Both of the semi-finals will be on 17th March. Initially the final was on the 22nd of March but now the final will be on 18th March at Gaddafi stadium, Lahore at 7 pm.

The Series had been postponed today as New Zealand’s govt new tighter border restrictions will be implemented from Sunday.
